On Saturday 9 December 2023, Beacon Badgers travelled to Chase Park for an away match with Cannock HC. The match ended 6-1 to the hosts, but it was fairly evenly matched and we had many more chances then the scoreline suggests.
Due to low availability we had only 9 players including player/manager Rich, so Cannock kindly lent us 3 players and we swapped across 2 of ours.
Drew played brilliantly in goal and made some excellent saves, while Jonah scored up the other end.
Every one of our players performed superbly - Cannock are (by far) the strongest team in the Badger Conference North, but they said this was their most challenging game of the season to date, and we even dominated the first half.
The match was played in a friendly spirit - Cannock's coach was very supportive and so were their umpires.
Well done to all for a great game.
📆 Next match weekend is a very busy one and we need as many players available as possible 🙏
