For this fixture both teams had large squads of 15 players, so rather than play 13v13 or having lots of substitutes, we quickly reorganised the pitch, split both teams in half and they each played two 7-a-side games on half-pitches. That way, the players each got two matches rather than one, with more touches of the ball, and virtually no standing on the sidelines 😊
80 minutes and 19 goals later, the teams emerged all square, with West Brom and Beacon each having won two of their games — hence 2-2 the final result!
Well done to Alex and JacobH 👏 for offering to play for the visitors before the rest of their squad belatedly arrived.

That was the last date in the Badgers Conference schedule for this season.
However, the competitive junior hockey doesn't stop there: we have a friendly against Wednesbury next Saturday, and more Badger friendlies and Sunday U8-U12 fixtures to come in the summer term. Saturday and Wednesday training will also continue as normal until the end of the school year.
