On Sunday 28th January, Beacon U8s and U10s entered a mini festival held in Aldersley and emerged unbeaten with 5 wins, 2 draws, 13 goals scored and none conceded in their matches against hosts Wolverhampton&Tettenhall (WaTs) and fellow visitors Cannock and Bloxwich.
Our four-a-side U8 team earned two 1-0 wins and two 0-0 draws in their four games, with debutant Ethan and Charlotte on the scoresheet. We might have scored more, but the goalposts 🥅 were so tiny they were hard to score through 😂😭
In the seven-a-side event, our U10s were totally dominant, winning 2-0, 3-0 and 6-0 💪.
Top scorer ⚽️⚽️⚽️ was Charles with 5, ahead of Clarice (2), Jack (2) and Jonathan with 1. Well done in particular to U10 Clarice for a strong debut, and to EthanW, who was playing his first Beacon matches in both the U8 and U10 tournaments, with Charlotte also doubling up in both events.
Equally impressive for the U10s were Gracie and Jonathan in defence and later in attack, and Connor on the wing and in midfield.
