On Sunday 25 February, Beacon HC entered an Under-8 mini festival hosted by Sutton Coldfield HC at Bishop Vesey's Grammar School.
Overcoming a shaky start, our Hockey Heroes notched 2 wins and 10 goals ⚽️, scored by Matthew (6), Jamie (2) and Ethan (2). Lola came so close to getting on the scoresheet too, and her excellent distribution of the ball from defence helped us to launch several of the attacks from which we scored ⭐️
It was touch-and-go whether the festival would go ahead due to the recent cold snap, but a pitch inspection was passed and the sun stayed out to warm up the pitch, players and attendees. 😎
