On Sunday 10 March, Beacon Under-8s entered the Staffordshire round of the In2Hockey competition, hosted by Lichfield HC. Braving difficult weather conditions our players had an excellent tournament, winning 4 of their 6 games, losing only to the eventual winners Bloxwich, and netting a whopping haul of 18 goals 🤩
It was very wet and the team did so well to endure through 6 matches! Well done to all the players: Lola, Jamie, Matthew, Charlotte and Ethan ⭐️
Our top scorers ⚽️⚽️⚽️: Charlotte (7), Matthew (6) and Ethan (5).
A big thank you also to the parents for supporting the children on what was a very damp and cold day, including Laura for the photos and stats. And congratulations to the organisers Lichfield Hockey Club for staging such a huge tournament (15 teams), as well as to the 3 winning clubs Bloxwich, Stone and Leek.
