On Saturday 27 April, Beacon HC lost 5-4 at home in a friendly fixture against Bloxwich Badgers at Aston University Recreation Centre.
It was a topsy-turvy and thoroughly entertaining match between two evenly balanced sides. Beacon opened the scoring only to fall 2-1 behind. We then netted three goals to lead 4-2 but couldn't hold onto the advantage, and some last-ditch defending prevented us from nicking an equaliser in the closing minutes.
Our goals were scored by Jacob (2), James and Alfie.
