Excellent performance from our U14 boys away to Sutton Coldfield HC, winning 2-0 thanks to a brace by OskarL.
Despite being a young team, with many of the players aged U12 (Yr7) and U13 (Yr8), the Beacon boys were outstanding and 6-0 would have been a better reflection of the match, but the Sutton keeper had a great game.
Beacon had 16 shots on goal -- 8 in each half -- won 8 attacking PCs and defended 4 themselves with no goals conceded.
We even became more dominant as the match progressed.
Well done to all the players and to Dave O'Brien and Rich Francis for giving up their time to umpire and manage the team respectively.
