Nice to finish the Badgers Conference season with a win! 0-0 the score at half-time. Scorers were Harshaan, Alfie on his debut and EthanC ⚽️
Bloxwich brought a fairly young team but they were more experienced than Sutton last week, some of their U12s play in Tier2 (we are Tier3), and we let them play 13v11 for the last 5 minutes.
Thanks to Ted and Aamir for switching sides to help the visitors out ⭐️ (You were their standout players at the end!).
Special mention to Rhys for stepping into goal, after I’d somehow forgotten to include a keeper in the squad😬
We tried out a number of players in different positions, which is good for their development, hopefully they found that enjoyable.
There’s more junior hockey to come in the off-season: we train right through to the end of the summer term, and there are 7-a-side tournaments events every 3-4 weeks on Sundays, plus summer league for the older Badgers.
