It was a chilly morning but the bright sunshine quickly warmed up today's U14+U16 mixed tournament, hosted by Bloxwich HC at E-ACT Academy Willenhall.
The U14s opened with a 6-0 loss to a strong Cannock Boys team but gradually improved as the tournament progressed, recording a 0-2 defeat, 1-1 draw and 2-1 win against a trio of teams from the host club. Our goals were netted by Katie, Arun and Jacob.
The U16s played three matches against Bloxwich and WATs (twice), losing 0-2 and 1-2 and drawing their last game 1-1. There was some excellent passing and movement throughout the team and we were unlucky not to bag more goals. Our goalscorers were Jeevan and Tristan.
Thanks to managers Mikaela and Ed and all the players and parents who supported this well-run tournament.
The next Sunday tournament will be an U8-U12 mini festival in Aldersley, hosted by Wolverhampton&Tettenhall (WATs) HC.
