Under-8s Making Strides

On 21 April 2024, Beacon HC entered an Under-8 mini festival hosted by Sutton Coldfield (SCHC) at Bishop Vesey's Grammar School.

Our Hockey Heroes 🦸🏽‍♂️🦸‍♀️, helped by two players from West Brom HC, won three of their six matches, scoring 11 goals and conceding the same number.

The team are getting more confident with every tournament and it was great to see so many different scorers contributing to the goal tally: nearly everyone on the team found the net, with top scorer Zayden (4) also making his debut! 🚀💥 The other goals ⚽️ were netted by Lola (2), Matthew (2), Jamie (2) and Elliot. Finn played his part too, keeping goals out as defender at the other end of the pitch ⭐️

Our fledgling Under-8 section is slowly but surely growing and with any luck we may be able to enter 2 teams in a mini-festival this season 🤞

Well done to the players and parents for their support, and to hosts SCHC for giving youngsters at local hockey clubs another fun opportunity to practise their skills.
