Beacon Juniors Have a Blast in Bloxwich

On Sunday 1 December, Beacon entered U8, U10 and U12 teams in a "mini festival" junior tournament hosted by Bloxwich HC at Willenhall E-Act Academy.

The U8 team had another great learning experience, losing two tough games but winning their third and final match 4-0 with a hat-trick from Lola ⚽️⚽️⚽️, Zayden getting the other goal.

The U10s won 3 games and drew 1, scoring 11 goals and conceding 3 💪 Well done to Lana for making her Beacon debut in defence 👏 and to Leon for getting another tournament under his belt 😁. Scorers: Zyon 4, Ethan 3, Donald 2, Charlotte, Clarice.

The U12s secured 3 wins in as many games, the toughest being a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Barford in the final match, with the pick of the goals scored by Alfie, who pressured and dispossessed the defence then squeezed the ball in from close range. Scorers: Alfie 4, Charlotte and Zyon.

Well done to all who participated, and especially to the organisers Bloxwich who put on a magnificent day of sport for youngsters in Staffordshire and beyond 🙌

These events are run entirely by volunteers, and every club needs helpers (team managers, umpires, kit washing etc.). We are no exception, so if you would like to make future festivals even better by lending a hand, please get in touch.
