Juniors Brave Rain (Again!) in Cannock

On Sunday 20 October, Beacon entered U8, U10 and U12 teams in a mini festival tournament hosted by Cannock HC at Chase Park.

For the second year in a row it was a rainy festival 🌧️☔️ but it didn't dampen the enthusiasm of the players, parents and volunteers who attended.

The U8s won 2 of their 5 matches, scoring 9 and conceding 10. Zayden netted 4, including a hat-trick ⚽️, with Jamie (2) and Hayden also getting on the score sheet.

The U10s also won 2 of their 5 games, scoring 6 goals and letting in 9. Top scorer was Zyon with 5 ⚽️, Donald getting his first ever competitive goal for the other 👏

The U12s won 4 and drew 1 of their 5 games, scoring 10 and conceding none! Top scorers were Drew and Sean with 4 each ⚽️⚽️, with Jonathan and Charles also on target.

Well done to Cannock HC for organising a superb day of sport and hockey for Staffordshire's youngsters.
