On Sunday 10 May 2026, Beacon HC entered the U8, U10 and U12 events of the "mini festival" tournament hosted at Hamstead Hill Academy by Barford Tigers HC. We teamed up with Wednesbury HC in the U8 and U10 events.
In the U8 event, Navan played mainly in defence, putting in crucial tackles and blocks and blasting the ball out of danger, Max made smart runs in midfield and on the wing and Jude supported the attack with 3 goals ⚽️!
In the U10 competition, Lola played on the right wing, helped out in defence and got into some excellent positions, Matthew used his ball skills to get us into dangerous positions and George did some excellent defensive work in midfield and at the back. The whole U10 squad worked hard throughout, showing great teamwork and determination in every match.
The U12s also represented the club brilliantly, showing great effort and attitude across their games, winning the first 3 matches, drawing the fourth to earn a play-off and then losing 1-0 in a very close encounter.
Thanks to the players and parents for their support, Linnie and RichM for managing the U12 team, and Barford Tigers for organising such a wonderful fun day of sport for local youngsters.
Next festival is at Willenhall E-ACT Academy on 7 June, hosted by Wednesbury HC.
