On Sunday 19 October, Beacon Hockey Club juniors took part in a rain-soaked but action-packed “mini festival” tournament hosted by Cannock HC at Chase Park, Hatherton.
Beacon players supported Wednesbury HC at the younger age levels, with Jude and Jamie joining the Under-8s, and Poppy and Lola representing at Under-10s.
At Under-12 level, Beacon fielded their own team and delivered an unbeaten performance—winning 2 matches and drawing 2. The team scored 6 goals and impressively conceded none across all four games. Goal scorers were Sean (3), Zyon (2), and Donald (1) ⚽️
With 9 U8 teams, 10 U10 teams, and 12 U12 teams competing across two pitches, it was a mega festival of junior hockey. Huge thanks to Cannock HC for hosting such a well-run and enjoyable tournament despite the wet conditions!
